ABOUT ME

Firstly thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor, and a registered and Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I work within the Ethical Framework of the BACP, and pride myself on working to the best of my ability, ethically and safely with my clients. As part of my membership I have monthly supervision, and I regularly undertake professional development and have professional indemnity insurance.

I describe myself as a compassionate and caring counsellor, with the focus on building a secure and safe relationship with you as my client. I love the natural world and find myself able to really relax and engage in the present moment when I'm in it. I'm grateful to be able to offer nature based sessions alongside in room and online sessions.

I am trained as an Integrative Counsellor and I feel this allows for a flexible and creative approach to counselling. I draw on different theories and approaches depending on your need, with an emphasis on the quality of the relationship between us.

I also have a BA (Hons) in Art and Design and believe this has had a great influence with regard to being a creative and imaginative individual and believe that the more we can bring these elements into our sessions the more we can explore and discover, enabling better choices for how you want to live.

If would like any further information please feel free to contact me, I offer a free 15 minute phone call and I am happy to discuss what you would like from counselling.

We can arrange an initial 30 minute assessment which is charged at £40. In the assessment we will be able to explore what your current needs are and what you would like from counselling.

If you decide to go ahead with counselling, we will meet on a weekly basis, for 50 minutes at an agreed time.

I work short term (a minimum of six weeks) and long term or on going with clients, this could be anywhere between 3 months to two years. As the client, this is your choice as to how long you require support.

I also offer Single Session Therapy (SST)  online which can be helpful if you are currently experiencing a specific issue you would like to talk through, and you feel you are not in need to ongoing or weekly sessions. This can be either up to 1 hour or 1 and a half hour session.
